Introduction:
Triund trek is a tranquil and enticing trekking location. It is located 18 kilometres from Dharamshala in the Dhauladhar Range and offers breathtaking views of the towering Dhauladhar hills on one hand and the beautiful Kangra valley on the other. The hike includes gentle through severe climbs that even inexperienced hikers can complete. And, because the distance between Mcleodganj and Triund is not great, it isn’t too taxing. The first 5 kilometres of the Triund walk are rather flat. The Triund trek path becomes hilly after that and demands a strong hike. Because of the 22 steep turns along the way, this section is known as 22 curves.
However, the walk becomes significantly more challenging in the winter attributed to the prevalence of frost just on generally sturdy and well-defined trails.

Day 1 Trekking from Dharamshala or Mcleodganj towards our trekking point triund:
It will take roughly 4 hours from Dharamshala. As a result, it is best to begin after breakfast. You’ll pass past oak & rhododendron woodlands on your way up from Bhagsu Nag. Take a break for lunch at one of the few restaurants along the road. Take in the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar Mountains as well as Kangra Valley. Day 2 Ascending to Khabrotu and down to Bhagsu
After breakfast, begin ascending to Khabrotu. This is a fantastic viewpoint that provides a breathtaking view of the Laka Glacier and Dhauladhar’s snow-capped summits. After that, start descending. On the way, you can stop for lunch. Walk downwards on a separate Triund trek path till you reach Bhagsu village. This trek should be done with those who have done it previously. It is preferable to use a certified Triund Trek guide.
Inside this Gallu Devi Temple region, there are some guesthouses. You may even stop there before starting the ascent if you like.
At Triund Peak, no overnight camping is permitted. As a result, we propose that you stay at one of the Forest Department’s guest homes. You may also reserve accommodations at Dharamkot Villages and Shiva Cafe, both of which have received excellent reviews from our visitors.
Summary:
Unless you’re talking about the rainy season, the Triund walk isn’t risky. During the wet season, the trail can get slick. Even if you are a novice hiker, you may easily complete this walk. The Triund hike is around 9 kilometres long and can be completed in 4-6 hours, making it easy to complete it in a single day. However, the greatest part is watching the sunset, staying overnight in a tent, and then enjoying the dawn the next day. As a result, it is recommended that you set aside at least two days for the walk.
