Tunganath and Chopta are just 3.5 km in distance. This approx.1000 year old temple is located at an altitude of 12073 ft.
Tunganath attracts a large number of pilgrims in Uttrakhand.so there are a large number of devotees who come to Tunganath every year.
Chandrashila is located 5km from Chopta and 1 km from Tunganath.As per the mythology chandrashila is a place where Lord Rama meditated here after defeating the Ravana.

Visiting Chopta or any other place in Uttrakhand mostly depends on personal preference. You may visit chopta during May- June.
