Rajmachi Fort

One of the famous trekking destinations of Pune is Rajmachi Fort Trek. It is located at a distance of around 80 kms from Pune. Monsoon is considered to be the best time to go trekking on this fort. You will trek through dense forests, famous temples, waterfalls and caves. 

It is not a difficult trek and will take around 4-5 hours only. So, start early from your base, reach there and spend some time before returning back.

Lohagad Trek

This fort trek is located in small Lohagadwadi village near Pune. It is located at a distance of around 70 kms from Pune. It is one of the most beautiful treks for its surreal views and surroundings.  

The trek is not very time taking and you can plan it easily if you are looking for a small getaway. This trek will take nearly 3 hours to complete and still make you feel healed and strengthened. Trekking in monsoon will make the experience more challenging and beautiful. For the amateurs, it could be one of the best options. 

Rajgarh Fort Trek

A small village called Gunjavne is the starting point of this trek. This trek fort is located at a distance of around 40 kms from Pune and also one of the easiest treks. Trekkers come here to experience a sense of fulfilment. 

The fort is surrounded by lush green forests and is a pure source of the divine beauty and is the main reason of why it makes all the more interesting. 

Breath-taking architectural views of the fort will make you feel relaxed and spend some quality time amidst nature. Although the distance is not much but requires a lot of struggles to reach at the point.

Visapur Fort or Killa Trek 

Located at a distance of around 60kms from Pune, Visapur Fort Trek has three starting points named as Bhaje village, Patan village and Gaimukh Khind. All the trekking routes will take around two to three hours to finish one side so any of the routes can be considered to travel.

If you start from Bhaje village, follow the mud trail while moving out of the village which is mostly an easy walk. Fort walls are easily visible from here. Route starting from Patan village is a bit rough and tricky.

After few kms you get to see a split where one leads to Visapur (on the left) and the other to Lohagad (on the right). You will be a witness to temples, caves and waterfalls while on the trekking route.

Duke’s Nose Trek

Earlier known as Nagphani, Duke’s Nose Trek is a popular trek among travel enthusiasts. It is famous for its activities like rock climbing, slackline festival and obviously trekking. 

While trekking most of the time you will find yourself travelling through the dense forests and rocky trails. Like most of the treks, this is also not very time consuming and will take around 2 hours only but the difficulty level is easy. 

Once you reach on the cliff, you can visit the famous Shiva temple and enjoy its divine beauty.
